We collect and save the name and email address you submit when requesting catalog access. After you verify your email, we keep your name and email address in the YBT Labs catalog-access contact list for access management and order follow-up.
This policy explains how YBT Labs handles information collected through ybtlabs.com. You can read this page without signing in or requesting catalog access.
Information we collect and keep
- Catalog-access requests. When you request an email code, we save your name, email address, and verification-request records. This happens before you complete email verification. After verification, your name and email remain in our catalog-access contact list.
- Acknowledgements. We record the versions of the Research Use Only statement and Privacy Policy you accept with your catalog-access request, along with acceptance times. An order request has its own Research Use Only acknowledgement.
- Order requests. If you submit an order request, we save your name, verified email, any phone number you provide, pickup or shipping choice, shipping address when applicable, order notes, requested products, quantities, prices, and acknowledgement records. No payment information is collected through this website’s order-request form.
- Access and security records. We keep verification and session records, request identifiers, and email-delivery status information. Our hosting and security provider processes technical information, including IP addresses and browser or device signals, to operate and protect the website.
How we use your information
We use this information to verify your email, provide catalog access, maintain our catalog-access contact list, notify the YBT Labs team of verified access requests, and respond to order requests. We also use it to prevent misuse, troubleshoot delivery or access problems, and maintain records of your acknowledgements.
When you submit an order request, the YBT Labs team uses your contact and order information to discuss availability, fulfillment, and the next steps for that request.
Who receives information
The YBT Labs team receives your verified catalog-access details and any order requests you submit. Service providers receive the information needed to operate these features. We use Cloudflare for website hosting, data storage, security checks, and sending verification and notification emails. Email providers also process the messages they deliver.
Cloudflare Turnstile checks browser and connection signals to help distinguish visitors from automated traffic. You can read more in Cloudflare’s Turnstile Privacy Addendum and Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy.
Cookies and catalog access
After email verification, we set an essential, secure, HttpOnly cookie to remember your verified catalog access for up to 30 days. HttpOnly means website scripts cannot read the cookie. Signing out ends that access session and removes its cookie; it does not delete your saved contact details or order records.
You can also remove cookies through your browser settings. Removing or blocking the access cookie means you will need to verify your email again before using the catalog.
How long we keep information
We retain contact details, verification records, acknowledgements, and order records while needed for the purposes described in this policy, including providing access, following up on requests, protecting the service, and meeting recordkeeping obligations. An expired code or access session does not automatically delete the related contact or request records.
Access, corrections, and removal requests
To ask about your information, request a copy, correct your contact details, or request removal, email [email protected]. Please identify the email address you used on this site. We may need to verify that the information belongs to you before acting on a request.
We review requests and explain any records that need to be retained for legitimate operational or recordkeeping purposes. Removing your catalog-access record may require a new verification if you later request access again.
